John finished writing and scoring this new piece a few hours before the first rehearsal and the copies were still warm when he handed them to Commotio conductor, Matthew Berry. Entitled simply 'Anthem', the setting is for SAATTB with some soprano, alto and tenor solos. The piece will receive its world premiere performance on Saturday June 7th in Merton College Chapel, Oxford, UK. (www.commotio.org)
